Flugplatz Emden and LYGG are opening a new air connection between Emden and Esbjerg, with flights starting on October 13. The connection will operate three days a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and is now open for bookings.
The new Emden-Esbjerg route links two important North Sea business regions and serves the travel needs of companies working across the offshore, wind, maritime and energy sectors.

With the new connection to Esbjerg, we are providing companies and their employees with an attractive alternative to time-consuming travel by road, while further strengthening Emden’s role as an important hub for the offshore and energy industries,” says Ines Reinema, Executive Representative of Emden Aiport.
“Emden has been on our map for a while; it is great to now make this connection a reality. We see clear travel demand between Emden and Esbjerg. Bringing those needs together is exactly how we can create connections that otherwise would not exist,” says Roope Kekäläinen, Founder and CEO of LYGG.
Emden–Esbjerg flights will operate either non-stop or with a stop in Groningen, depending on the day’s rotation. When operating via Groningen, passengers continue to Esbjerg on the same aircraft without changing planes.
LYGG Is Building a North Sea Network

Emden–Esbjerg is the third addition to LYGG’s North Sea network this autumn, alongside the operating Esbjerg–Groningen connection and the upcoming Esbjerg–Stavanger route. The connections are served by the same 19-seat aircraft, enabling LYGG to connect several North Sea business regions as part of one growing network.
Flights are available exclusively for company travel and can be booked directly on lygg.com or through travel agencies.
